Crochet Skull Scarf

During the heat of the summer I crocheted this Skull Scarf.   I crocheted along with this video by Tinkertati on YouTube.     She was really easy to follow.  I’m going to be wearing my scarf this Halloween. What projects have you been working on?  I would love to see what you are working…

China Cabinet Redo

I have had this china cabinet ever since I got married.  Wow, its been 24 years now!  I picked it up at a yard sale.  Our first home was furnished with yard sale, auction and hand me down items. I have always collected Blue Willow Dishes.  I have had my Blue Willow dishes in the china…

Foodie Friday – New way to slice watermelon

I found this on the Internet the other day.  I think its the easiest way to cut watermelon.  Why haven’t I heard of this before?  I hate to slice watermelon. First cut watermelon in half.  Then slice diagonal, then horizontal. Then you can just pull a piece of watermelon out.  We have been calling them…

Succulent garden

My daughter and I made some succulent gardens the other day.  I love milk glass so I transplanted my plants in to a milk glass bowl and added some rocks. My daughter painted some cans and jars in colorful colors to match her room. So far so good with the succulents.  I’m not the best…

Poppin’ Tags

I was out running errands today and thought I would stop by Goodwill.  I’m so glad I did! If you have a Cricut cutting system, you know how much the cartridges are.  I found three cartridges for $1.99 each! What!  I got excited.  I found Winter Wonderland, Jasmine, and Accent Essentials.  I didn’t have any…

Foodie Friday – What’s for dinner?

We had grilled cheese and tomato soup.  Not just tomato soup from a can.  Oh, no.  I made homemade tomato basil soup.  Fresh basil straight from the garden.  Everyone ate it up.  My daughter just got braces this week and her mouth was still kinda sore, so I have been trying to make softer foods…

Foodie Friday – Crockpot Lasagna Soup

Flowers are a bloomin’

Flowers are going in the flower beds and other flowers are popping up around the yard too. We had these flowers start popping up along the fence line with our neighbor. We weren’t sure what they were. She said they were called Money Plants. I love the purple color. Our lilacs are in full bloom….
